Sick but Happy

I'm still here, still sick but hey, I'm still sober too. Tomorrow I will have 9 months y'all, 9 months!!

This cold is kicking my butt. I cough and cough and cough. My nose is red and sore because I blow my nose, blow my nose, blow my nose. I'm in a lot of pain, I guess being sick has caused my fibromyalgia to flare. Mornings are the worst, my hips and legs just about drive me crazy. But once the lyrica and ibuprofen kick in, it's manageable.

I got up early yesterday and dragged myself to an early meeting. I looked and felt like hell but I needed a meeting. I also managed to load the dishwasher, fold and put away laundry that had been clean for days and I went to the grocery store.

Tonight I have my womens meeting that I set up and make the coffee. I am going, Lord willling and the creek don't rise (as my mom used to say).

Today I am grateful for a warm cup of coffee, my dog snuggled up next to me, kids that sleep in the living room with me even though I'm sick and most of all, my sobriety.

What's going on with you today?

the day before the last day of the year... lemme see, bought puppy toys, monkey nuts for the parrot, groceries, built a puzzle (not finished yet), had a nap, blogged (of course), had copious glasses of water, giggled, yawned, mmmm, enough i think!

P.S. Congrats on 9 months it is a special accomplishment to have the appreciation of the time we put our disease to rest.

Nine months! Tyra, that's wonderful (full of wonder?). And you're sick. That will pass.

Sobriety must NOT pass, though. When is your sobriety date, March 31? I have a March anniversary, so--with others of course--we'll have a great March cyber-celebration. OK?

Nine Months????
YAHOOOOOOOOO
That is fabulous. I remember clear as day taking my 9 month chip. I wore a red dress to the meeting to pick it up and my daughter fixed my hair. It was the hardest chip of all for me.

I don't remember receiving a chip until around my third or fourth year. Either we didn't DO that, or I just don't recall. Thank you for answering my Q.

It was about 15 years before I began remembering little thins like my name, SS number, phone, address. Another five years and I remebered my children's names, well, two out of three?

My date is Mar 18th. Usually it just passes by, I don't make much note of it, but this is year #35, and I intend to "cyberbrate"!! And I'll need some help. OK, Tyra? We'll DO it!

You should feel better by then...I hope you feel better within the hour-prayer-so get some good rest tonight, tomorrow is certainlt better health-wise, and otherwise.
